Rodello is town situated in the Upper Langhe region of Piemonte and is often referred to as the "door to Piedmont" or the"balcony on Alba". The town has wonderful panoramic views of Alba and has a landscape that includes forests which provides a perfect habitat for rare animals as well as perfect trails for trekking, horse riding, or mountain biking.
The town is famous for its prize winning Dolcetto wine "Dolcetto di Rodello" as well as "Langhe Nebbiolo", "Barbera d'Alba"," Langhe Chardonnay", "Arneis" and "Langhe Favorita". Fruits, sweets, meats, and cheeses are produced here and sold in local shops. The area is also home to a unique type of hazelnut and the legendary truffle.
The center of the village is very medieval in character and possesses a certain charm which certainly makes it worth a visit. There is also a good range of shops,restaurants, and bars.
